The beautiful blue mountains of North Georgia,
including the Blue Ridge Mountains, are part of the
Appalachian Mountain chain. This large chain of mountains
includes the well-known Smokey Mountains of Tennessee and
North Carolina. The Appalachian Mountains also include a smaller,
lesser-known chain known as the Cohutta Mountain chain.
Fort Mountain and Grassy Mountain, near Chatsworth, Georgia
are part of the Cohutta Mountain chain.
