Miniature Toy Chest, Wooden, Vintage Look

This miniature Indian headdress is made of paper card stock. The tomahawk is made of real wood, split to hold the tiny, polymer-clay axe-head, which is tied on, just like on a real tomahawk. It is a wonderful, nostalgic toy, reminiscent of the Indian headdress that the Dad brings home to the little brother in Old Yeller! The headdress itself is one piece (the feathers aren't separate ~ they are painted on, in subtle brown earth tones that give it a nice, vintage look. The leather band and ear patches or plackets are made of paper card stock, stained brown and pocked with tiny holes for a "leather" look. The two feathers that hang from each ear piece are separate and sewed on. The piece is tied with thread, painted brown to resemble leather strings. Folded, it is just over an inch high, made to fit a little dollhouse child. It was made to scale, for a 1/12 scale dollhouse.
