TRANSCRIPTION NOTE
The original document is a printed, standardized form, which the clerk filled in by hand. Writing is clear, but it is sometimes difficult to tell capital letters from lower case letters.
FOOTNOTES
- Spelling clearly varies here, but it is difficult to read, so I can't be sure that I have transcribed it correctly.
- Difficult to read. One could interpret this as "Hanes," but a cross-reference of the other documents shows that it is "Hannah." The typical pronunciation of "Hannah" among older appalachian people would be "Hanner."
- Other lines, left blank, gave space for listing various livestock, personal and domestic property, and other assets. I've included only the items for which the widow listed ownership.
