APPLICATION.
For the Relief of Needy Confederate Soldiers and Sailors, Residents of Alabama, who from Wounds or other Cause, are now Unable to Earn a Livelihood by Labor, Under Act Approved February 13th, 1891.

County of Jackson }
Personally appeared before me Wm~B Bridges Judge of Probate in and for said County, Peter Cooper , who being duly sworn, deposeth and saith that when a Private in company B of 6 Regiment of Ga. Infantry and while in discharge of his duty on the 5 of April 1862, at Yorktown in the State of Va he was wounded in left leg, necessitating amputation below knee.......
and in consequence of such loss of limb, wound or wounds; sickness or old age, he has been rendered physically incapable of making a livelihood by labor;
that he was a resident of Alabama on the 13th day of February, 1891, and is a resident at the date of this application; that he is engaged in the business of farming, that his taxable property does not exceed four hundred dollars in value, and that his salary and gross income does not amount to four hundred dollars per year.
