Application of Soldiers or Sailors Over 70 Years of Age. (Form 560. Age Print, Scottsboro, Ala.)

Jackson County       }

Before me, W.R. Gross Notary Public in and for said State and County, personally appeared Peter Cooper who, being by me first duly sworn deposes and says that he is now on the pension roll of Jackson County, in the Third Class; that he hereby makes application, under an Act approved April 24th, 1911, to be placed on the pension roll of the Second Class on account of his age, and he being at the time of making this application over the age of seventy years; and or have lost a leg, or foot, xxxxxxx, or entire use thereof; --Left leg below kee [sic] further states that he was born at Trenton Ga; that he is unable to procure any other positive proof as to his age, as there is no one in this part of the country can testify as to his birth.

Tankersley do solemnly swear that I am acquainted with Peter Cooper whose name is signed to the foregoing application, and that I have known Personly for 40 years; that, from personal knowledge of him and his general appearance, I believe that he is over the age of seventy years, or has lost a leg, or foot, xxxxxxxxxx thereof, as stated in this application.
