for the Jacob Headrick 1884 Pony Homestead exemption
From Pony Homestead Record B, page 17, Murray County, Georgia, Court of Ordinary
*This entire line is almost illegible. Writing is highly compressed so that the letters "m," "n," "e," etcetera, run together. Read separately, the words look like: "Common" or "Cim mim" (with the "i" undotted); "faimy"; "loots," "laots," "(oats" (with parentheses unclosed), or "tools" (with the "l" crossed instead of the "t"); "fn" or "fer"; "One"; and "hirse." I attempted to decipher it and came up with "Common farming tools for one horse," but am not sure of that. The latter part could be "(oats," with an unclosed parentheses, which is how I read it at first ("oats for one horse") The word I transcribed as "farming" could even be "family," but I could come up with no logical item using that.
