Murray and Whitfield County, Georgia

The counties of Murray and Whitfield are located in the mountains of North Georgia. Murray County is reknowned for its beautiful scenery. The Cohutta Wilderness and Fort Mountain State Park are both located in Murray County. Dalton, a small city in Whitfield County, is known as "The Carpet Capital of the World". Whitfield County is also home to Tunnel Hill, a small town named after its famous antebellum railroad tunnel, which is currently under restoration as a historic site.
