Shopping the Carpet Mill Outlets in Dalton, Georgia. Visitors to Dalton always ask, "Where can I buy carpet?" If you're visiting in person, Connector 3 is the place to start. The stores are close together and easy to browse. Here's a sampling of just two flooring outlets... Beckler's Carpet is a one-stop shopping outlet. My aunt and uncle recently came to Dalton to buy carpet and rugs. They visited Beckler's first and went no further. Here's what they had to say... Carpets of Dalton. This huge store has a complete selection of flooring and home furnishings. They are famous for their Designer Dream Home ~ a real house inside of a store (no kidding)! For an idea of what that's like, read my review... I've passed Owen Carpet Company many times during trips to Dalton and was always curious, but I just haven't had a chance to visit yet. Owen Carpet Company has been in business since 1974. Owen specializes in wholesale direct and close-outs, from a variety of mills. I hope to get over there soon! These outlets aren't located at Connector Three, but are within an easy distance of there: Peanut's Carpet House is located on Chatsworth Highway. Peanuts prides itself on being a discount house. They've been in Dalton for as long as I can remember. I haven't been there since I was a kid, but I've noticed lately that the building is newly renovated, so I'm excited about the prospect of visiting there again. The formerly plain-looking warehouse now has a welcoming entrance that shows it is open to the public. I hope to get over there and take a look. To get there, take I-75 to exit 333 (Walnut Avenue). Stay on Walnut, going straight east. At the edge of town, Walnut Avenue becomes Chatsworth Highway, and Peanut's is on the right. Location: 3358 Chatsworth Hwy., Dalton, Ga. 30721. Shaw Carpet Industries Outlet is on Walnut Avenue at the intersection of Walnut Avenue and Abutment Road. A brick mini-mall of law offices sit across from it on Walnut, and Regions Bank is across from it on Abutment Road. I believe that it is open to the public. This is a small outlet. Shaw is the manufacturer for much of the flooring sold all over the world. Their products are available at most of the outlets in Dalton. Shaw is the world's largest manufacturer of carpet. I don't think the outlet has a separate website, so to find out more about Shaw products, check out the Shaw Industries official website. Long's Discount Outlet is family owned and has been in business for over 30 years. Located at 2626 South Dixie Highway, Dalton, GA 30720. (South Dixie Highway is just a segment of Highway 41, South of Walnut Avenue in Dalton; web searches show it as South Dixie Road). It is on the section of Highway 41 that runs between Walnut Avenue and the South Dalton Bypass. Please note that if you search Southern Living Floor Plans for "whitfield", please use the floor plan search engine in the middle of the page, not the main searchbar at the top ~ which produced the result of "fish tacos"!
